NYCC is the largest pop culture convention on the East Coast and the only one that takes place in the comic book, publishing, media, and licensing capital of the world -- Gotham City. Our show floor plays host to the latest in comics, graphic novels, anime, manga, video games, toys, movies, and television, our panels give fans a chance to interact with their favorite creators, and our screening rooms feature premieres of films and TV shows months before they hit either big or small screens!

Annual arts festival! Multiple art exhibits, live music, craft projects, street performers and more! FREE admission!! Family friendly! Fun for people of all ages!! Festival opens Friday, April 7th from 6pm-9pm. Festival continues Saturday, April 8th from 12pm-8pm.

Calling all artists ages 13-30! Art exhibit & competition. Excellent prize money!! Free to enter. Your artwork will be on display at our annual arts festival, Art Youth Expo7.

The Hazleton Art League (HAL) is seeking artists to submit their work for an exhibit which will take place April 7th & 8th 2017. This exhibit will be displayed at HAL & several business buildings along Broad St., Hazleton, as part of our 7th annual art walk.

ENTRY RULES
Open to artists ages 13-30. No entry fee. Up to 3 entries per person. Artwork must have been created within the past
3 years. Artwork can be any medium, 2D or 3D. 2D art, such as drawings & paintings, must be framed and ready to

**NOTE- PRIZES AWARDED FOR EACH OF THE 2 AGE LEVELS 1st Place $150, 2nd Place $50

Best Use of Color Award
Any artwork which shows a sophisticated use of color theory. Any medium.

Creative Use of Materials Award
Any artwork comprised of media used in a creative or unexpected manner. Any medium.

Realistically Rendered Award
An artwork which accurately depicts recognizable subject matter. **Photographs do not qualify for this category.

Abstract Award
Can be abstracted art or nonobjective art. Any medium.

Most Thought Provoking
A work of art that conveys a strong message or stance. Any medium. The artist must also include a separate sheet of paper with a typed paragraph explaining the message they would like the viewers to derive from their work of art.

Delivery
Artwork is to be delivered to the HAL on Sunday, March 19th 11am-5pm HAL is located at 225 East Broad St., Hazleton, PA 18201.

Removal
Artwork is to be picked up from the HAL on Sunday, April 23rd 11am-5pm
