Friday, 14. April 2017, Bendigo, Good Friday concert at The Old Church on the Hill

Event description
Special Good Friday concert, featuring: Lily & King (Melb) + Hailey Calvert (QLD) + Graciana Holland. 7pm. Only $15 entry, tickets at the door.

About our artists:

Lily and King:
A quirky, musical junkyard - blissful, beautiful, dirty and wicked.
They play Dixieland punk, sailor songs, blues, bluegrass, Burlesque, weird carnie show tunes and the odd bit of curious pop and street corner stomp. Their set sits somewhere between a captivating 40's nightclub routine and the raw, reckless spirit of New Orleans street buskers.
With a toy piano, squashed trombone, sassy vocals, guitar and half a toy drum kit, a Lily & King show is a wild and joyful experience.

Hailey Calvert:
Owning a bluesy, rich voice and fluid guitar style has earned Brisbane’s Hailey Calvert many fans as well as turning her into a festival favourite. Two EP’s, one album and countless charismatic live shows into her career, Hailey is an unforgettable performer showing no signs of slowing down.

Graciana Holland:
Growing up in the Folk musical family, The Hollands! and touring on the road full time for all of her adolescence, Graciana Holland was given the opportunity to explore and experience new cultures, traditions and music, all of which has influenced her songwriting process. Graciana has traveled extensively through out the USA, Canada, Southeast Asia and Australia performing and honing her gifts and talents as a musician. She plays guitar, ukulele, and piano and works with electronic beats but her voice is the stand out. With a delicate and pure delivery, Graciana’s sound keeps listeners on the edge of their seats wanting to hear more.

The Old Church on the Hill is located on the corner of Harkness and Russell Streets, Quarry Hill, Bendigo.
The Singer/Songwriter Showcase events, staged there by the BB&RMF crew on a semi-regular basis, are an opportunity to enjoy a House Concert vibe in a public venue. The door charge is generally $15 for adults ($10 concession) and, although refreshments are available for sale, the focus is on THE MUSIC. Sound production is supplemented at the Old Church on the Hill by our friends at Muso's Stuff Bendigo () and 100% of the door takings are able to be shared between the performers with thanks to our valued sponsors at Kensey Care ().
