Plot -
Act One
Nabucco is at the gates of Jerusalem, the defeated Jews fear and pray. Pontiff Zechariah encourages them; she has Nabucco's daughter, Fenena, as a hostage. Fenena is entrusted to the young Ishmael, the nephew of the king. Between them there is a strong feeling of love, she saved him from prison when he was ambassador to Babylon, he would like to return that generous gesture. While Ismaele is about to fence through Fenena through a secret door, I break with a group of warriors, Abigaille, believed Nabucco's daughter, also in love with Ismaele. Abigaille offers Ishmael the freedom for Fenena in exchange for his love, but the young man rejects disdainfully. The situation hurts, enters the Nabucco temple faced by Zaccaria who would kill Fenena if it was not prevented by Ishmael. Fenena was made to his father; looting and massacres begin, while the Jewish people curse Ishmael by judging him as a traitor.
Act second - first framework
In Babylonian Palace Abigaille learned from a document not to be the daughter of the king, but only a court-guarded slave. Nabucco has nominated Regent Fenena and Abigaille's hatred is triggered. Informed by the Grand Priest of Belo, Abigaille feels the time to become Queen and revenge for Nabucco and his daughter.

Second - second act
In a hall of the palace Zacaria prepares to take to Fenena, who wants to convert to the Jewish religion, the laws of the law. Ismael announces the prodigy to the Levites, but they continue to regard him as a traitor. Clarify things from Zaccaria and from Fenena itself, the Jews feel reassured: shortly, why a Nabucco officer comes to the regent Abdallo to announce the death of the king and to invite Fenena to be saved because Abigaille wants his end. Fenena rebelled, but immediately arrested by Abigaille. Another scene shot: Nabucco returns, which forces everyone to worship him not only as a king, but as a god. Zechariah cries to the sacrilege, Fenena confesses his choice of faith, Nabucco reaffirms his will. At that point, however, the Babylonian king is landed by a divine blow, loses reason and crown, and Abigaille immediately takes advantage of the situation. She will be the queen and will continue to persecute the Jews.

Third Act - First Framework
In the Nabucco Palace he sees Fenena led to death with the Jews and desperately begs them to forgive God, swearing to convert and rebuild the Temple of Jerusalem. Find your strength and follow Abdallo and other warriors move to the daughter's salvation.
Third - frame act second
In execution gardens, executions are going to happen when Nabucco comes into arms. The idol of Belo falls shattered and everyone, in front of that prodigy, falls into their knees. Israel has won. Abigaille, however, has repented and even poisoned; comes on stage asking for forgiveness and prays Nabucco to unite in marriage Ismele and Fenena. Zechariah then preaches to Nabucco, for his conversion, the kingdom of the world.
